Speaking with Tongues


prophetic oracle towards the house of Israel::


Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 


For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 


For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.  ISAIAH 28:9,10,11


The speaking of tongues in and during the preaching of the word towards the house of Israel confirms the covenant hope of the gospel of the kingdom; the word of the LORD shall go forth from Zion into gentile nations of the earth upon King Jesus ruling in Jerusalem.  Through prayer and supplication, the wisdom of God in now made manifest in the preaching of the cross of Christ.  The cross of the LORD is to be anchored within a covenant hope of the gospel of the kingdom :  precept upon precept, line upon line, the law of the LORD is truth and every jot and tittle will come to pass.


Gentile stewardship of the word towards the house of Israel is magnified in glory with the gift of tongues; the foolishness of God is made manifest in the preaching of Christ Jesus and him crucified, and the foolishness of God is much wiser than the wisdom of men - the carnal wisdom, that is.


the filling of the Holy Ghost::


because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 


For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.  THE ACTS 10:45c,46ab


And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.  THE ACTS 19:6


The baptism of the Holy Ghost often times is accompanied with the loosing of tongues.  This particular 'loosing of the tongue' is an equipping of power from on high to endure unto the end.  Praying in tongues from the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a calling forth of power from God to increase an earthen vessels' anointing for the work of the ministry.

The gift of tongues in the body of Christ manifests during gatherings and fellowships in the name of Jesus.  During times of 'seeking the LORD', the gift of tongues is readily available to those knitt together in seeking his face and offering up sweet incense to the heavenly temple of God.  The gift of tongues increases faith and builds up the body of Christ in heart as to bear the manifestation of other spiritual gifts.

Speaking with tongues edifies an earthen vessel's spirit in the deep things of God, for that person doing so is speaking mysteries to God.  Speaking mysteries to God is to be desired by all of the body of Christ as to magnify God and his riches found in Christ Jesus.  Speaking in tongues calls forth others into the deep things of God as to endure unto the end of this age.
