The Son of God, the King of Israel, Jesus of Nazareth, is the Messiah of God and he is the Hope of Israel.  Upon Abraham's obedience, God spoke to him concerning his blessing AND authority in God; Abrahamic blessing and authority are a part of the inheritance of the everlasting covenant God made with Abraham.  Jacob's inheritance was confirmed in a dream and in his prophetic oracle spoken by him following.  The Messianic hope of Israel is according to the covenants God made with Israel's forefathers such that the Davidic expectation is in line with the received authority alloted to Abraham and Jacob.

The early apostles of Jesus Christ witnessed the Messiah's redemptive work in the land of Israel leading up to his crucifixion.  Through Christ's appointments, discipleship, and fellowship, the alloted authority of the covenants of promise was set and decreed in a manner that confirmed the Davidic Hope of the covenants of promise

The Davidic Expectation was witnessed in Christ's decree to Nathanael which confirmed Jacob's prophetic oracle concerning Bethel; the Messiah is the anointed one recorded in the law and prophets.
