Solemn Assemblies in Babylonia and
the Hope of the Davidic Covenant
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen : but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
Neither will I hide my face any more from them : for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. EZEKIEL 39:25,26,27,28,29
Renewal of the holy covenant, the establishment of the new covenant in the land of Israel, will be brought to light towards the remnant of the house of Israel through the testimony of holy covenant in the days of old. The Lord being jealous of his holy name is due to those who have bore his holy name, have gone astray after idols, then received the mercies of the LORD as repentant sinners.
Solemn assemblies in Babylonia places a hope in the renewal of the holy covenant through which the Lord Jesus will appear in the heavens and through which he will pour out his spirit. Due to the nature of solemn assemblies in Babylonia the specific hope of the holy covenant is a returning from captivity to the covenant land of Israel. Returning, being brought back, from captivity, for Israel, is a part of, and confirms, the holy covenant hope of the gospel. Any gentile saints cloven to the house of Israel during this specific time of babylonian captivity will partake of the provisions alloted to the ministries of God for that season in a manner which bears witness of the hope of Davidic Covenant.
The hope of the Davidic Covenant is this sanctification of Israel in the sight of other nations which will cause gentile nations to love and adore the holy one of Israel in the age to come. Israel's sanctification glorifies God's purposes and plans for Israel to be a light to the nations. Him being sanctified in them is the new covenant hope of the gospel of the kingdom; for, once the LORD is sanctified in them then the gentile nations will come to know the LORD in a renewed way. Nations of the earth will honour the feast of tabernacles as a memorial of the Day of the Lord, the Day of Vengeance of our God, in the age come like those redeemed from hell and the grave honour their redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
